Shamin A. Sookia is a Director at ESG Intellis Solutions Ltd.
Having previously held the position of Head of Listing at SEM for almost 11 years, Shamin was actively involved in the development of new and innovative products in the context of SEM’s strategic shift to internationalise its platform. He was also closely engaged in the setting up of SEM’s regulatory framework and has been instrumental in creating the enabling space for international ventures to list and trade on the Exchange.
Shamin started his career some 30 years ago in the Big 4 and gained valuable experience in a multitude of fields including auditing, taxation, consultancy, global business and financial restructuring. He later held finance directorship roles in the textile and beverage industries respectively. He was a past member of the Audit Committee of CIMA Africa and a past board member of the Mauritius Institute of Professional Accountants.
He is a Fellow member of both the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) in the UK and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (FCMA) in the UK. He also holds a Master’s Degree in IT (Business Information Systems) from Keele University (UK) and an MBA in Marketing from the University of Mauritius.
Françoise Chan is a Director at ESG Intellis Solutions Ltd.
She holds a DEA (Diplome d’Etudes Approfondies) in banking and finance and a Maîtrise in Econometrics from the University of Paris 1 Sorbonne, France. She also holds a Magistere d’Economie delivered by the same university in conjunction with ULM (L’Ecole Normale Supérieure) and L’E.H.E.S.S. (L’Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales) of Paris, France.
Françoise has been in the Global Business Sector since 1994 and acquired extensive experience working in a leading Management Company as well as in the Global Business Division of an International Bank.
Françoise is a member of both the International Fiscal Association (IFA) and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
With over 10 years of experience in the field of corporate sustainability and ESG, Harsheenee is a dedicated professional who is familiar with both local and international sustainability landscapes. Holder of a Master in Sustainable Development from the University of Surrey, Harsheenee started her career at EcoVadis, the international sustainability rating agency, where she worked as a senior analyst for 6 years.
She has also led many methodology development projects as well as assisted EcoVadis’ clients through dedicated debrief sessions. Harsheenee provided training to newly-promoted analysts. She also pioneered the first EcoVadis Community Involvement team in Mauritius.
As the Corporate Sustainability Officer at AfrAsia Bank, Harsheenee was mainly responsible for the bank’s sustainability strategy development and implementation, sustainability reporting strategy as well as the implementation of the Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS) as required under the SUNREF Program.
She was also extensively involved in sustainability initiatives such as the AfrAsia Bank Sustainability Summit and relevant events and the AfrAsia Foundation.
